Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. Involved in the margins of both traditional and popular music since her teenage years, she has also delved into different genres such as hip-hop soul and trap. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela has described her voice as sweet and sharp, however she still with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer is her second album that was released in 2018, which was commercially and critically acclaimed. Following Los Angeles, her debut album from 2017, she received an award from the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist as well as an Latin Grammy nod. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The release date was March 20th, 2022 in the wake of the live performance on Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the very first Spanish artist to perform solo on the show. Motomami was the only female ever to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year twice, and also the three Latin Grammy Awards.
