Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Vaina Loca, which was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. Mala Influencia is released in 2020 by Noriel and her Dopamina album in the same year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's streaming smash single Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is compulsory. In his early years, he learned how to play the saxophone, the ukulele, and piano. At first, he wanted to become an vet but when his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with the help of a Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
